Collision with him

--Episode 2--

Y/N: Kim Taehyung…

The moment your eyes landed on him, something shifted in the air. His deep, dark brown eyes carried an intensity that could draw anyone in, like a mystery waiting to be unraveled. His forehead was partially covered by messy strands of hair, carelessly tied back with a bandana—effortlessly rugged yet undeniably attractive. His sharp features exuded raw masculinity, making it impossible to look away.

Even Eunah, who rarely paid attention to guys, seemed taken aback by his presence. A hint of surprise flickered across her face as she noticed the tall, striking figure standing amidst the crowd in the courtyard. But before you could process anything further, Stacey’s voice broke your trance.

Stacey: “Come on, girls! Let’s cheer for our boys!” she chirped excitedly.

Her team immediately erupted into cheers, dancing and hyping up their side. Their energetic display caught Taehyung’s attention, and he waved at them, making Stacey beam with pride. But then… his gaze shifted.

And it landed on you.

Unlike the others, you stood at a slight distance, holding a tray of refreshments in your hands. The moment his eyes met yours, his heart skipped a beat. Something about you felt… different. You weren’t like the rest. And yet, you were exactly like the rest.

His gaze flickered to the tray in your hands. So… you’re being pushed around by Stacey and her minions?

A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he muttered under his breath—

Taehyung: “Weak people always get what they deserve.”

To him, you were just another girl—a pushover, like the many others before you.

???: “Taehyung-ah! We need to discuss our strategy!”

One of his teammates called him, snapping him out of his thoughts. With a dismissive shrug, he turned away, pushing the fleeting curiosity about you aside.

Meanwhile, Eunah leaned in close to whisper—

Eunah: “Y/N… let’s get out of here before she gives us more work.”

Y/N: “But she told us to—”

Eunah: “Yah! Sometimes you have to ditch people like her, or they’ll keep walking all over you! Let’s go.”

You hesitated for a second before nodding. Without wasting another moment, the two of you slipped away from the courtyard before Stacey could notice.

____In the Library____

Eunah let out a sigh of relief as you both reached the library.

Eunah: “Finally, we’re here! Now, let me find him—”

Before she could run off, you grabbed her wrist.

Y/N: “Yah! First, let’s find the books we need for our next test.”

Eunah giggled and effortlessly pulled her hand free.

Eunah: “Yeah… about that… I think you should check the books on your own.”

Before you could question her, she bolted towards the first floor, leaving you standing there, stunned.

Y/N: “YAH!—”

Realizing you had just shouted in a library, you immediately covered your mouth. Several students turned to glare at you, one of them even pointing toward the large sign that read, "Keep Silence."

Embarrassed, you quickly bowed and mouthed, "Sorry" before hurrying toward the bookshelves.

Y/N: “Aishh… that girl is going to pay for this later.” you muttered, shaking your head.*

Navigating through the neatly arranged shelves, you scanned the subject labels until your eyes landed on the book you needed. You reached for it—

—only to feel another hand collide with yours.

Startled, you turned your head, finding yourself face-to-face with Jimin.

He was standing too close. His warm brown eyes studied you with curiosity and a hint of amusement. The proximity made your heart race slightly.

You quickly withdrew your hand.

Y/N: “Sorry.”

You bowed slightly, trying to avoid his gaze.

Jimin: “It’s okay.” His voice was soft, yet there was a trace of amusement in it.

You turned, eager to escape.

Y/N: “I should go now.”

But before you could step away, his voice stopped you—

Jimin: “Hey, wait.”

You froze.

Why did he stop me?! Aishh… I should just run!

Taking a deep breath, you hesitantly turned back to him.

Jimin: “We’re in the same class, aren’t we? I saw you last time.”

You nodded.

Y/N: “Yeah… I saw you too.”

Jimin: “You’re new here, right?”

Y/N: “Hmm… yeah.”

Your eyes darted around, trying to avoid his gaze.

Jimin noticed and chuckled.

Jimin: “Here. You need this book more than I do.”

He handed it to you, but you hesitated.

Y/N: “Oh no, you can take it! I don’t need it that much.”

Jimin: “You know… you’re really bad at lying.”

He smirked, placing the book in your hands before you could protest further.

Y/N: “But—”

Jimin: “It’s fine, Ms. Y/N.”

You raised an eyebrow.

Ms. Y/N?

Jimin: “By the way, I’m Jimin.”

You rolled your eyes internally.

Tell me something I don’t know.

Jimin: “Did you say something?”

Your eyes widened.

Y/N: “Uhh—no!”

Oh gosh, did he hear my thoughts?!

Jimin chuckled again.

Jimin: “Alright then. See you in class.”

He flashed you a genuine smile before walking away.

You nodded, offering a small smile in return before quickly exiting the library.

---In the Hallway---

You stepped out of the library after spending half an hour there, dialing Eunah's number repeatedly. She wasn’t picking up.

Y/N: Where has she gone now…? (you muttered, trying again.)

Lost in thought, you didn’t notice Soohyun and Lia approaching from the boys' locker room, whispering between themselves with devious smirks.

Lia: Was it necessary to give him that letter? What if Taehyung actually accepts Stacey’s love letter? (she said, recalling how they had slipped the letter into Taehyung’s bag when he wasn’t around.)

Soohyun: (Scoffing) I’m already tired of catering to that brat’s demands. If he accepts her confession, she’ll be insufferable. I swear, I’ll lose my mind.

Lia: (Grinning slyly) Then let’s have some fun to lighten your mood. (Her eyes gleamed as she suddenly noticed you walking ahead.)

Soohyun followed her gaze and smirked.

Soohyun: Oh… This is just perfect. Why wait?

Both of them quickly hid behind the lockers, their minds working fast. The hallway wasn’t deserted, but it was still relatively empty—though any second now, students from other departments would start flooding in as their classes ended.

Soohyun: Give me your water bottle.

Lia: (Handing it over) What are you planning?

Without answering, Soohyun hastily emptied the bottle onto the floor, spreading the water strategically where you were about to walk. Then, both of them darted into a nearby empty classroom, peeking through the small window in the door.

Soohyun: (Chuckling darkly) Now, let the entertainment begin.

Lia laughed along, but her amusement vanished in an instant when she spotted someone approaching from the opposite direction. Her heart nearly stopped.

Lia: Sh!t… We’re doomed.

Soohyun: What?!

Lia: (Panicking, pointing ahead) Taehyung! He’s coming with his friends!

Soohyun peeked out and froze. There he was—holding his guitar on his back, laughing with his friends, completely oblivious.

Soohyun: (Whispering harshly) Damn it! What if he reaches first and falls instead?!

Lia: (Grabbing Soohyun’s arm, whispering urgently) This was your idea! Now fix it!

Soohyun: (Clenching her jaw) Relax. Y/N is closer. She’ll step on it first.

Lia: But what if she walks slowly and he gets there first?!

Soohyun: (Glaring) Just shut up and pray that doesn’t happen! (They both crouched down, holding their breath.)

You, unaware of their sinister plan, kept walking—your attention focused on your phone as you messaged Eunah. Meanwhile, Taehyung was equally distracted, chatting with his friends.

Just as you and Taehyung were about to pass each other, his gaze flickered toward you.

And then—

Your foot met the slippery surface.

Your balance gave out.

You gasped, hands flailing, desperately reaching for something—anything—to steady yourself. Unfortunately, the “something” you grabbed onto was Taehyung himself.

Before he could react, his own foot slipped on the same wet patch, and gravity did the rest.

Thud!

The impact wasn’t the only shock.

Your lips—accidentally—pressed against his cheek.

A hushed silence fell over the hallway before gasps erupted. Students spilled out of classrooms, some freezing mid-step at the sight before them.

Your eyes flew open in horror.

And then you saw him.

Taehyung’s dark eyes were already locked onto yours. His arms had instinctively wrapped around your waist, your hands splayed against his chest. The world seemed to blur around you both.

Time stopped.

Your heart pounded wildly, a foreign warmth spreading through you. He wasn’t pushing you away. Instead, he just… stared. His grip on your waist remained firm.

It was almost too perfect—like something out of a movie.

Then—

“Ayy, look at them!”

His friends broke the trance, whooping and cheering.

Phones were whipped out. Clicks. Flashes. Laughter.

Reality slammed back into you.

Flustered, you scrambled to your feet, avoiding Taehyung’s gaze, bowing stiffly before bolting away.

He didn’t move. His eyes trailed after you, watching as you disappeared down the hall.

Students around him murmured in disbelief. Why wasn’t he reacting? Why wasn’t he furious? This was Kim Taehyung—the guy who never let anyone mess with him.

One of his friends clapped him on the back.

Joel: Hey, Taehyung-ah! You okay?

His expression darkened.

Taehyung: I’m fine.

Sehun: (Pointing) But your guitar isn’t.

Taehyung’s jaw clenched as his gaze snapped to the ground. His guitar bag lay there, slightly open, the impact possibly damaging the instrument inside.

A muscle ticked in his jaw.

Minsoo: What are you gonna do?

Taehyung exhaled sharply, picking up his guitar case and dusting it off. His fingers tightened around the handle.

Taehyung: (Low, dangerous voice) She’s going to pay for this.

Joel hesitated. “Wait… you’re not actually mad at her, right? It was just an accident—”

Taehyung turned to him with a slow, eerie smile.

Taehyung: Accident? (He scoffed, tilting his head.) If I let this slide, others will think they can get away with anything. And I don’t like being taken for granted.

His friends exchanged wary glances.

Sehun: Dude, don’t overdo it—

Taehyung: (Cutting him off, smirking coldly) Did you get the video?

Joel hesitated before nodding. “Yeah.”

Minsoo: I have photos too.

A wicked gleam flickered in Taehyung’s eyes.

Taehyung: (Licking his lips slightly, voice dark and amused) Then let’s have some fun.

His fingers ran over the edge of his phone, an idea forming in his mind. He wasn’t about to let you off so easily.

You had no idea what storm you had just invited into your life.

Taehyung: It’s time to play with our new toy. (His smirk deepened.)
